Updates fail after Re-installing Windows XP Prof

I had a crash and had to re-install Windows XP Prof. Now the updates all
fail. It shows I have 83 updates but they will not install. Some have 0
file size. I see an error message "update.ver file is not correct". How can
I Sync this up?

Start -> Run -> regsvr32 wups2.dll [Enter]
