Updates fail to install, XPhome SP2

I am tryin to install Critical updates
885835
886185
87339
885836
There was no problem downloading them but they all failed to install, there
was no error message.
I downloaded the four patches from the site and tried to install them
myself, each time I got an Access Denied message.
I tried with antivirus & firewall turned off.
I have included the last 30 or so lines from the update log as suggested in
another post.
Hope someone can help with this problem.
