I'm on a W2K domain and I have one server (W2K) and several W2K Pro machines
that refuse to install 2 security updates that just came out this morning -
KB873339 and KB885835. Has anyone run into this yet?

I resolved it - I should have known but I had a bonehead moment

Deselect the updates from the Windows Update site, then click on the "Read
More" link relating to the update. From there, manually download and install
the update. It worked for me anyways.

There is something wrong with the update site. MS has not posted anything
yet, we've been looking all day. Not one machine out of thousands at our
university can currently update. Look for the updates at a third party
location. Once again MS cannot get with it and actually notify people they
are having a problem.

"Diane",

I can assure you that the security fixes were posted at the regular time,
and also that the replication across our servers does take a little time.
That being said, do you now see the updates? I would be very interested to
hear this answer.

Sincerely,

Pat Walters [MSFT]
