Oh, and when I try to run the Update it tells me to "Get Microsoft Update
today" ... I already have that. The web page tells me Automatic updates is
running; however I have not seen an update in weeks so obviously something is
going wrong.

no this did not help. I still get the same error happening after modifying
the registry as per instructions

The registry changes need to be exact. You can use this reg file to
ensure that they are:

system can update.

Its the mistyping of DLL name - should be W..lowercase"L"..N
