Updates installed but caused big problem

Hi all,
Maybe someone has tackled this already but I haven't seen it here. Since
installing the April 12 updates, IE 6 (XP service pack 2) has been crashing
when I click on javascript links, chat rooms, internet banking etc. I used
system restore which gets around the problem, but there must be another way
that allows me to install the updates. I'd be delighted if anyone can help.

Since my Automatic Updates were installed on 4-15-05, I have been unable to
access secure sites. As you did, a system restore prior to that date takes
care of the problem, but I don't know which update is causing this problem.
I have not received any error #'s. I simply get a "The page cannot be
displayed" message. The bottom of this message reads: "Cannot find server or
DNS Error Internet Explorer". If anyone has any info concerning this, it
would be GREATLY appreciated!
