updates installed are still listed to be installed

I have updated my system with critical updates and some
XP updates. Updates are listed to be installed that I
know I have already, as they are listed in installation
history and have all been successfully installed.
Windows update still lists them as available. help!
These are Xp updates not driver or critical updates.

Which updates? Try installing from:

I have the same problem on one of my computers for 826939 update (Update
Rollup 1 for Windows XP).

I have tried reinstalling from WindowsUpdate as well as downloading the
full 9MB installation file and manually rebooted, but every time I load
WindowsUpdate, the entry is there again!
