Updates KB911565 and KB911564 for WM Player not installing

I am having problems with updates for windows media player 10 not installing.
The updates of Feb 18, 2006 KB911565 and KB911564 download OK but do not
install and the attempts result in installation failure notices.
Can anyone please suggest anything that will solve this problem.
