Updates not insatlling...

Hi Guys
I have two update files that are not installing, they are:
- Update fo microsoft XML core services 4.0 service pack 2
- security update fo MS XML core services 4.0 service pack 2

I have setup for automatic updates, the issue is the though the files have
been downloaded, (several time) when i shut off, and the pc install the
updates when i next power on the pc windows downloads the files again, it
appears as the the files are not insalling properly. I have even tried
downlaoding manually...

I am having the same problem this morning with the "security update fo MS
XML core services 4.0 service pack 2". I have tried automatic, manual,
rebooting, etc with no success. It shows it was successful, but is not in
the updates list, and within a minute the "updates available" notification
pops up. HELP!!!

Have you tried running the manually downloaded installers in safe mode?
