Updates not loading to my pc?

Okay maybe I'm crazy..I ran this MSN third party "Killdouble" and wiped out
Windows so re-installed everything as a repair..Now cannot load the update
from yesterdays date 03.21.05 critical updates? WHY the anoying Icon lower
right hand side still try's to load and will not work? Help what to
do?...Thanks!

Click Start, select Run, type in: services.msc
then press enter
Now look for the Automatic Updates Service, right click it and choose to stop

Click Start, select Run, type in: %windir%\SoftwareDistribution
then press enter
Open the Datastore folder and delete its contents.

Click Start, select Run, type in: type services.msc
then press enter
Now look again for the Automatic Update Service and choose to start

Try running the Updates again.

If in doubt, cut and paste the contents of the datastore folder to another location
so that you can copy contents back if required.
