Updates not visible on "Add or remove Programs"

The latest update, Cumulative Security Update for Internet Explorer for
Windows XP Service Pack 2 (KB834707), has slowed my speed from greased
lightning to cold molasses. It's taken "forever" just to get here. It is not
visible on my "Add or remove programs" list!!!

I am desperate to get this latest update removed as it takes 1-1/2 to 5
MINUTES (or more on some of my routinely visited websites) for a link to
open!!!! With one site that uses four redirects (one of my mail accounts), it
took almost 15 minutes to open.

You should have a checked box option ( "show updates") at the top middle
right of the add/remove popup window if not you should have the have the
KB834707 folder in c:\windows, run the spuninst.exe (KB834707)
