If Microsoft wants me to keep my computer updated for security then way must
I waste over an hour of my life trying to scan my computer and download the
updates to install. An hour gone, I might add with absolutely nothing
accomplished.

It seems I need KB892130, but it won't install. I just want to download
anything new since the last time I updated, save it, and then install. What's
so hard about that?

It really isn't worth my time to go through all this agravation. Even when
your proceedures are working it take too long to wade through everything,
several pages of unnecessary crap, just to get to the stuff I need.

It's no wonder people are fed up with Microsoft, but unfortunately it's the
only game in town.

Try the following workaround:

The WGA diagnostic tool has been updated to correct
this problem seen by some users.
Please download and execute it from:

http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=52012

After running the tool, please return to Windows Update and try it again.

I have the same problem...

First it was Windows Installer 3.1 failing and then this one. I first
downloaded windows installer 3.1 from downloads from microsoft.com. Now I
installed this one and I am able to see the updates that I need... but all of
them are failing to download.

Any idea why? Anything that I am missing here?
