Please, please can someone help.

I am using Vista Home perm, and now EVERYTIME my computer boots up it goes
through the configuring updates screen and takes 20 mins to boot, as when I
shut it down it states confirgruing updates.

It just started doing it, how can I stop this, without a rebuild?

Thnaks

Hello Shane

You may be able to do a System Restore at boot using a restore poin
dated before this started to try and fix it

http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/76...estore-how.htm

Afterwards, only install these updates one or two at a time to hel
avoid a possible confilct between them during their installation

Hope this helps
Shaw

You can try one dated when you think it was before this started. If it'
not it, then you can try a older one until hopefully you find one tha
works.

I have restored it to 5 days ago and it appears to have worked thank you.

I have set to auto updates to download and ask me when to install, so I hope
that helps
