updates taking up too much memory on HD

how can i have my updates not take up so much memory on my HD... i still
want the updates but i want the new updates to some how replace the old
updates...right now all my updates take up a lot of space on my HD and now Im
down to 100Mb in my HD out ot 80 Gb....

They take up space on the HD; they have *nothing* to do with memory.
This page has a method for removing the uninstall packages for updates
that are not causing any issues :

I want to Save Space and delete unnecessary files after installing a
Windows Update patch or Service Pack.
