Updates try to install again after success (KB914389, KB885835)

KB914389 installed successfully on my machine on Friday, as part of the
multiple-update package. On Saturday, it showed up again, along with
KB885835.

Yesterday and again today, these two updates have shown up, one at a time.
I didn't notice that they were duplicates, so I downloaded and installed them
again, always with success. KB914389 came through twice in between
occurances of KB885835 once.

I know I can tell the updater not to download them and not to bring them up
again, but I'm concerned that this may be a symptom of something more
serious. Any suggestions?
