I've tried a million and one times to get this installed. And I keep getting
the same message box saying this:

Updates unable to be successfully installed:

Cumulative Security Update for Internet Explorer 7 for Windows XP (KB931768)
Security Update for CAPICOM (KB931906)

My computer did the other updates yesterday and since then things haven't
been working right and these 2 updates were apart of yesterdays updates but I
have been unable to get these two items installed. I'm thinking if maybe
they got installed then maybe things would be working properly? This is
horrible all these problems.

I'm having the same problem. Are you getting this error message?

Capicom 2.1.0.2
Error creating process <msi exec /qn /package capicom2.msi>. Reason: Access
is denied.

No. I only get the message that I wrote in my previous message. It acts
like its going to install, but then after a few minutes it stops and the
pop-up box appears with that message. I get no other error code.

Well i just fixed my problem, maybe this will work for yours also.
Have nothing running but updates. Turn firewall off and make sure Windows
OSfirewall is off also.

Please do *never ever* shut down the Windows Firewall with no
other security messures given. Windows Firewall does *not*
have influence on download and installing *any* Windows update!
Personal Firewall Software unlike the Windows Firewall, may/does
have some more or less bad influences if running during the in-
stallation processes - which is true for other security software
(antivirus, antispam, antispyware, antianti...) too.

Bye,
Freudi
