lAutomatic update today told me 2 updates were available. I clicked to
download and instal and one completed successfully. The other named as XML
Core Services 4.0 for SP" (KB936181) appeared to download and instal but
keeps reappearing supposedly as a new update . In addition, since this
problem began IE7 keeps "encountering a problem" and closing down.. Does
anyone have any idea what exactly is going on. I have not installed or
donloaded any other program for a long time.

I too received and installed some updates today. Ever since my computer,
which was working good, is really hosed. IE7 has not worked since and some
other programs, Rhapsody for one, don't run anymore. I also have difficulty
in logging off or restarting.

Since this is a Critical Security update, MS offers no charge support:

" Support
• Customers in the U.S. and Canada can receive technical support from
Microsoft Product Support Services at 1-866-PCSAFETY. There is no charge
for support calls that are associated with security updates.
• International customers can receive support from their local Microsoft
subsidiaries. There is no charge for support that is associated with
security updates. For more information about how to contact Microsoft
for support issues, visit the International Support Web site.
http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=21155 "

STRONGLY suggest you call in rather than waiting for email support. <w>
