Indicates a previous update has failed to install and thus preventing further installations of updates. Affects only Windows updates. Open Windows Update and review your history. Locate the update/s that have failed to install (you can view further information about the failed update/s by double-clicking the update ) If the information reveals 800f0826 move onto the next one until you get the update that displays a different error code to 800f0826. Once you have located the update that has failed and caused the problem, then that needs to be fixed before you can install the other updates. -- ==================================== TaurArian [MS-MVP] 2005-2008 - Australia ==================================== How to make a good post: http://www.dts-l.org/goodpost.htm Defending your machine: http://defendingyourmachine2.blogspot.com/ http://taurarian.mvps.org/index.htm Emails will not be acknowledged - please post to the newsgroup so all may benefit. TaurArian,
Thanks for this suggestion. I have checked total history and all updates before these ones have been installed. Since July 23 I get failure message 800F0826 starting with update KB935652. This one had been installed 2 days later after giving same error message once more on 24st. Same happend with KB905866. Didn't install for few days with error code 800F0826 and suddenly install was ok yesterday. The other ones which give this error message since July 23 are: KB932471, KB938123, KB931099, KB936824, KB936782, KB936021, KB935280, KB936825, KB933928, KB933579, KB937077, KB937143. Any other suggestion how to solve this? -- Thnx & greetz, Rico "TaurArian [MS-MVP]" wrote: > 800f0826 > Indicates a previous update has failed to install and thus preventing further > installations of updates. Hi Rico, the contents of the zip files I notice are .bat files
wu.bat & wu2.bat. You should be able to open the files in notepad and paste the contents here or in the alternative send the files to me for examination.
