Updates were unable succesfully installed

i cannot update my computer : this is what i got

Update for Background Intelligent Transfer Service (BITS) 2.0 and WinHTTP
5.1 (KB842773)
Microsoft Windows Installer 3.1
Windows Genuine Advantage Validation Tool (KB892130)

do i have to install one bye one this updates and then try again or what can
i do.
i notice that my automatic updates (control panel) picture has change . I
have windows 2000 and now is like in XP.

I too am having an update issue, and it is problems with the (BITS) and the
and advanced settings in the same window. hope that made sense. novice here.
Anyway, i go in , change to automatic, start, and apply, but it will not stay
that way. Everytime I check back, it is disabled again. Says I need windows
updates. The windows updates will not allow me to download without these
other 2 things changed. Catch 22 . Also trying to download sunjava, same
problem, need these settings changed. For that , need the windows patches, or
fixes or whatever, HELP !!! lol
