Bought a new emachine about 3 weeks ago and it came with vista basic, I liked
the way it looked so decided to get ultimate. The upgrade advisor just
recommends upgrading my video card after I upgrade. I get almost to the end
of the install (the final part) and get a blue screen. It goes so fast I
can't read what it says but it won't let me upgrade to the new version, keeps
doing the rollback thing. Upgrade advisor said everything was cool, I don't
understand it. Any help would be appreciated, hate to think I just wasted all
that money.

You need to disable eMachine's onboard video adapter in the
motherboard's BIOS before installing a video card.

Thanks for the reply but I haven't got a new card yet. The advisor said I
should upgrade my videocard after the upgrading to ultimate, so I wasn't in a
big rush to get one. Problem is it won't finish the upgrade, tried several
times now.
