Upgrade to Ultimate

I need the DVD for the Ultimate upgrade. I do have the digital license and
when I click it, the screen says to insert the DVD upgrade disk. However, I
purchased online from Staples in 2007 when you could do an online install of
the upgrade. Since Feb. 2008 Microsoft has been sending DVD media to do the
install. (and I have no DVD upgrade media).

1. Staples sold it to me for $149.00 and takes no responsibility for their
sales. And say go to Microsoft.
2. Microsoft says it is DigitalRivers responsibility as that is the service
they used.
Another Microsoft agent said maybe I could purchase a replacement for $30.00.
3. The online Microsoft upgrade site gives all the information you need to
purchase if you are buying a copy of the upgrade.

But Microsoft hides any information about the DVD media for people like me
who rushed to purchase the Upgrade to Premium and then the anytime upgrade to
Ultimate.

Thank you, for any help.
Sincerely,
Ray B Davis, Jr

Sounds like you can either pay again or move up to a real operating
system like Ubuntu. It's FREE. Check it out at www.ubuntu.com

Visit https://digitallocker.windowsmarketp...?wa=wsignin1.0
and click on the "Help" button located in the upper right corner.

Then under the Help Topic titled: "The digital locker assistant - a Windows Download Utility",
click on "Creating a backup CD".

Dear Carey,

Thank you, for responding. I did not know that you could make a cd back-up
at the digital locker (this helps for future reference). But, my digital
locker contains only the Ultimate license, there is no program to download.
What I need is the DVD media which was not sent prior to Feb. 2008.

I did finally get someone at Microsoft to say that if I would fax them they
would supply a free DVD upgrade media for me to use with my license (which I
access at my digital locker).

Microsoft replacement parts at:
1-800-360-7561.

I sent the fax and hopefully will be supplied my DVD media to reinstall my
Ultimate.

Thank you, for your assistance.

Sincerely,

Good info, but nowhere on the site can I find a way to reinstall the
digital locker assistant. Did a google search, but that only
showed a few posts, including this thread.
A good link for reinstalling would be nice, if that is possible.

Thanks,
Dick
