Upgrade Windows ME to Windows XP pro

Hi -

I want to upgrade my Windows ME (on a Dell Dimensions 8100)to Windows XP
Pro. Has anyone had any problems with an upgrade. I was told the XP Pro
does not preform well when upgrade from Windows ME and that I a should do a
complete new install of Windows XP. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Windows XP Professional (Retail Version) can easily upgrade over an
existing Windows ME installation. Make sure there are no viruses or
spyware on your current system.
