What is it not doing? Or doing? What version are you using? What OS are you
using?

How to ask a newsgroup question:

Which site is it? Telling that would help a lot...propably solve the
problem.
Without knowing the site URL, there are lotsa possibilities:
Maybe it has to do with codec problem? (Usually MediaPlayer problems are
really codec problems)
Maybe it has to do with false alarms, that try to fool you to click on
"Update" and install a spyware?
etc. etc.

IF you don't want to tell the URL, you might start by installing
ffdshow-codec. It is free and there is no spyware/adware/BHO's in it.

Because the rollup update for media center sucks and never should have been
released. Probably you are going to have to reload your operating system.

Is nothing playing at all? When you open WMP does it start? Do some files
play but not other files? Are these files located on your PC, on a CD, or
are you trying to stream them from the web?

My problem, apart from the fact that whenever I click Question, the pop-up
window is blocked despite pop-ups were unblocked, I'm reduced to crashing in
on this question to express my own for which I sincerely apologise to the
questioner. When I attempt to play a saved video clip, the picture freezes,
although sound carries on, and when I attempt to close the screen it does not
respond and I end up having to crash the computer because it completely
freezes. This has only recently occurred becasue prior to this I have had no
problems with playback. I have rolled back from Media 10 to Media 9 in the
hope this might cure the problem but the result is just the same. The only
items I can now view are those recorded on a non-windows format. Please
help!

This suggests that you are running some third-party application which is
blocking pop-ups. Places to look are your anti-virus, your anti-malware,
your firewall, or things like Google toolbar. Disable all these third-party
applications until the Question button on the forum starts working properly.
Then that should narrow down the culprit.
