Upgrade from XP pro or XP MCE to Vista

I tried two methods of confirming what OS I have but got (2) different
results. The two methods are (1) click start, all programs, accessories,
system tools, system information and (2) right click "my computer",
properties.

Here's what method (1) says:

OS Name Microsoft Windows XP Professional
Version 5.1.2600 Service Pack 2 Build 2600
OS Manufacturer Microsoft Corporation

Here's what method (2) says:
Microsoft Windows XP
Media Center Edition
Version 2002
Service Pack 2

I'm 99% sure I have XP MCE but it seems strange that method (1) would say XP
Pro.
