MS is hoping you'll run out and buy a new license but, no, you don't
have to do that. Use the phone activation and grovel to some activation
clerk. If he or she believes you, they'll give you the number you need
to reclaim the computer you bought.
If you're tired of this crap, check out Open Source. I like Ubuntu. You
can find information on this excellent operating system by going to
www.ubuntu.com. It's free, far less virus and malware prone than
Windows, easy to install, set up and use. It has access to over 25,000
free programs. No activation. No becoming genuine. No reactivation
because you changed or upgraded hardware. In short, a user oriented
operating system.
