I have a Toshiba e805 PPC. It came with Windows Mobile 2003, I currently
upgraded it to Windows Mobile 2003 SE. I installed the newest version of
Active Sync onto my work computer, the relationship works fine, everything
was swapped between the two components beautifully! However, when I tried to
sync my PPC with my home computer, it would not allow me to connect, I
installed the newest version of Active Sync on that computer as well. I
tried several different things and come across where the partnerships are
stored into the PPC, it will only allow one partnership, that I can tell. I
need to know how to get around this! I would love to be able to sync with a
third computer it that is even possible, under 2003, it would allow only 2
partnerships.

Thanks, God Bless,

Matt Hamby

Hi,
Did you rename the Pocket PC or delete the existing partnerships before
trying to sync? Without doing either of these things you will not be able
to setup a second partnership because ActiveSync sees an active partnership
on the device with the old name which is in use on the 2nd PC.

Yes the PPC has been renamed, but there was no way to delete a partnership
in Active Sync, it was all grayed out, I had to do that at my office.

It shows a message "not connected" & "no partnership"

When the device is not on the cradle, you can go to file and select delete
partnership. if the device is connected this is grey.

Yeah, it stays grey, I tried that. I had to do that at my office to get it
to work there, I am thinking it has to do with the new 2003 SE, I am going
to try these ideas again, but I racked my brain on it for a while last
night. any other thoughts?

I didn't think to set the firewall up to allow the connection!

Thanks for all of the help!

God bless you!
