I am thinking of upgrading my CPU to a higher speed. Right now I have a slow
Core Duo and the motherboard supports a much faster one. If all else remains
the same (motherboard, memory, etc) do I need to reinstall and if this is
necessary could I just do a repair install Vista as I could with XP?

Thanks

SST,

No need to reinstall the operating system, it resides on the hard drive.
When major components are replaced, the system looks at the total.
