Upgrading to Microsoft Update

When I try to upgrade from Windows update to Microsoft update I get to the
page that states that an Active X control must be installed and that a
notification should popup that I have to right click on and select Install
Active X control. This notification never displays and I cannot do anything
else. I have tried to seach Micorsoft for the Microsoft Update agent that it
is trying to install but have found nothing. Has anyone else seen this
behavior?
I have about 3 servers out of 70 that have not been able to upgrade to
Microsoft Updates.
