Please can anyone help.

With Vista i can only find an ftp way of uploading to my web server with add
a network:

My web site requires to be uploaded with HTTP uploading
protocol with FPSE, but when i Secify the location of my website following
the on screen prompts, but it will not allow me to input an html address,
below is the examples given from the wizzard during that process

It gives examples:
1. \\server\share (Share folder)
2. http://webserver/share ; (Web share)
3. ftp://mysite.co.uk (ftp site)

can anyone shed some light on how to upload with vista as a HTML protocol,
not an ftp protocol
Many Thanks

There is no such thing as an HTML protocol.
The proper protocols for publishing html "files" are either http:// or ftp://

To publish to a server with extensions, you publish to the http:// address of the website.

ie: http://www.websitename.com
or
http://websitename.com
( providing that the nameservers are set to recognize the url with or without the www )

Steve, many thanks for your reply.

I have followed the wizzard with add network connection, but it won't allow
me to in put http://breladecockerspaniels.co.uk only as ftp, which does not
allow response forms on my web site to work.

The above address was the link to my site during upload on XP under my
network places, i have FPSE activated on my account.

Many thanks for your help

You don't need to add a network connection.

What are you using to "Publish" your web pages to the server?

From Publisher Help:

As you plan your site and the information that it will provide, consider
which authoring tool is right for your needs. Office Publisher 2007 is an
excellent authoring tool to use when you want to quickly create, publish,
and manage simple, static Web sites that match your business brand and that
require revisions of only text and graphics. Office Publisher 2007 is not
the appropriate tool in the following cases:

If your Web site needs interactivity or database-driven content, so that
visitors can respond in a Web log (blog) or purchase items in a shopping
cart
If your Web site requires data validation, such as for verifying credit card
numbers
If you expect to later alter the raw HTML code in an HTML editor after you
create your Web site in Office Publisher 2007, which combines HTML, XML
(Extensible Markup Language (XML): A condensed form of Standard Generalized
Markup Language (SGML) that enables developers to create customized tags
that offer flexibility in organizing and presenting information.), and VML
(Vector Markup Language (VML): A system of marking up, or tagging,
two-dimensional vector graphics for publishing on the World Wide Web. VML
graphics are scalable and editable, usually take less time to download, and
require less disk space.) code to produce Web sites

Unfortunately, VML graphics are only supported in IE.

Then you need to post your question to a Publisher Newsgroup.
It's not a "Vista" issue.
