1. Close any Open Windows or Programs
2. Click Start, select Run
3. Type or copy the following: %WINDIR%
4. Locate the relevant $NtUninstallKB******$\spuninst
5. Locate and double-click the file spuninst.exe. This will start the wizard.
6. Click Next to scan, Yes, to confirm that you want to uninstall the update
regardless of what other software it might affect.
7. Allow it to finish

Are you able to run System Restore? If so you should just be able to roll
back to the last saved Restore Point, assuming it's fairly recent.

tnx, guys

Turned out it were not updates, but some problem with indexes on the C:
NTFS. After many reboots with "check disk" enabled, Norton Disk Doctor
now reports only 3 problems and everything works fine.
