usb and removable media PLEASE HELP!!!!

hello and thank you for taking the time to read this!!

i have a problem with my USB ports and i dont know what it could be the
ports themselves work fine i can use most devices through them things get
detected through them ok aswell but what the problem is, is that removable
strage devies wont install properly it detects that they are mass storage
devices but no matter what type of drivers i use or what make of device i use
it will not work!!!

for example my phone will work on my pc i can transfer things direct to my
phone through USB but if i use a flash USB drive or an MP3 player it will not
let me use them properly i search for vista drivers updated drives
manufacturers drivers everything i can but my vista just seems to refuse to
want to let me use removable media !!!

could any one please help if you need more information please ask!!!!
