USB connection

Help !

I've plugged in my mp3 player into the USB Port and it continually says it's
connecting......but never connects. What should i look for?

Sorry, I just could not resist the comment for people whose
life revolves around an MP3 or PS. The answers is usually
available in their computer documentation, that they don't
read. It can be the wrong type of USB cable, a missing
driver, a defective player.

Just saying "it doesn't work, why?" is not a good question.

Then give details about your computer, the player and any
error messages. Open the Device Manager and look for USB
issues and updated drivers.
Try different cables and or different ports on your
commuter. Be sure power is available, either external,
power or fresh batteries.

Open the books and read your manuals or tell the group all,
the details about your system.

This is my first time using this site and I apologize for not entering enough
information about my problem......and just for your info (not that you care)
my life does not revolve around the mp3 player......and yes I have read all
the documentation and tried different USB ports and computers looked at the
device manager before i asked the vague question.............and still have
the issue. So please don't jump to conclusions about people
