Hi

Is anyone else having problems with Mediaplayer recognising usb connect
devices ?

I connect my Iriver HD MP3 player to the PC a Dell E520 running Vista Home
premium. The PC recognises it I can browse the device, copy stuff to and fro
via explorer so all appears to be ok. However Mediaplayer does not recognise
it has a connected device, its basically nothing more than an external mass
storage device at the end of the day.

Please no-one reply to this question if you have nothing more constructive
to say than contact the manufacturer of the device or PC.

thank you

gallacp,

I'm using a 2 GB USB SanDisk flash drive as a Ready Boost device. Just a a
test, I used Windows Media Player, (V.11) , to access it. Media Player
opened (under File > Open > all files *.*) the SanDisk and displayed the
..sfcache file (the Ready Boost cache file). So, I'm concluding that Media
Player recognizes attached USB devices, at least in the case of the SanDisk.
