OK I am running WIN 98se and am trying to reinstall my printer after a recent
virual infection. It will not install. The error message that comes up says
there is one of two problems:my usb's are lacking a driver and I believe
hardware. I have looked in device manager and see no mention of anything Usb.
What to do? If all I have to do is install a driver can anyone reccommend a
good one?
ps I know i'm a dummy but please help

When you reboot, go into your BIOS and see if you have something that allows
you to enable the USB onboard controller.

You are in WIndows.

When you reboot your system, PRIOR to Windows XP from loading, your system
tells you how to Enter the BIOS menu. Usually it is either the Del or F2
character.

This is as soon as the system starts up.

Hi there,

You should have a cd driver cd that came along with your main board, install
the USB drivers from the cd rom, if not you need to know which mainboard is
installed in your syten to be able to find the correct drivers. If you know
which one it is I can be of help with finding the suitable driver(s).

Best regards,
Michel Denie
