Totally ignorant here but my $0.02 is that something is wrong with an
attached USB device. Sounds like it wants more than the 500Ma the port is
supposed to have. That would likely make the device not work properly.

Have you tried your various USB devices on another pc. Is there some power
supply not working properly or became unattached etc. Try removing each
device and see what happens, e.g. BIOS error goes away.

Another possibility is that the OP is using an unpowered USB hub and the
total current of the devices attached to the hub is over 500 ma.

Yea, see that all the time with people buying hubs that are self powered
but come without the power supply and they don't think ...

That said, if I remember correctly from my own experience at the time, such
a case doesn't provide an error message but rather either device doesn't
work or isn't properly recognized once inside Windows. Original poster
suggests it's the BIOS displaying message which at the least suggests BIOS
can tell some device (agreed likely a hub with multiple devices) is trying
to get more than the 500Ma spec demands.

OK, I was unaware of how the OS talks about an overloaded hub. I'm just
so good that I never have done that :-)

Anyway, the OP has some info to work with.

Unplug all devices and I am still getting the same screen. USB ove
current error! I had no usb devices hooked up. Even disabled the us
controller just to see. Same screen! Could this be a motherboard issue

MY computer works and boots up if I click F1 at boot. I would like t
fix this. Does anyone else have any ideas?

Can you open the case and unplug the USB ports one at a time?
Might be a shorted USB socket.

What do you mean by unplugging the usb ports? There is nothing hooked u
to the usb ports. Do you mean by disabling the usb ports in devic
manager
