usb port problem

Because of a virus, I recently had to purchase and re-install windows xp, and
now it doesn't recognize any connections to a usb port, ie printer, camera,
etc. A window used to pop up whenever you would connect something, now
nothing. Help, I need my printer! Thanks, Randy

i know this is an old message, but by any chance did you get your printer
problem fixed because i have the exact same problem too!!! please help me

I am sorry that you are hitting this issue, but this does not seem like a
Windows Update problem. Perhaps these other newsgroups would be more
helpful:
