USB Sync and WMDC

I installed WMDC 6.1. When I plug in my handheld, I get a message saying
Windows must install a driver. Vista searches for the driver, but I get an
error saying it found a driver, but there was an error when installing it.
Microsoft USB Sync
cannot find file

I am running two more computers with XP Pro and can sync my handheld wo any
problems.

Any ideas?

If your handheld is using a version of Pocket PC earlier than 2003, it's not
compatible WMDC. The error you describe is typical of that problem though
it may simply be a driver issue. You need to check the specs on your device
to see what version it is using or check the manufacturer's website. Some
manufacturer's have made later versions of PPC available for devices with
versions earlier than 2003. If, in fact, you have that version or later,
you need to check the manufacturer's website for any updates or drivers
necessary to run in Vista.

If no luck there, you'll need to contact the manufacturer's tech support to
see if they're supporting your device in Vista.
