I am having extreme troule trying to set up my K-Jam device on my work IBM
Think Pad X31.The problem is that on connecting the device with the USB
cable the laptop reconises the device and start the synchroniz\tion setup.
However when it tries to start synchronizing the device drops off the line
and loses the connection. It looks like a TCP/IP stack problem as the
machine create a LAN connection when the device is connected and this
conection drops off after 30 seconds or so. I have tried the following
solutions:

1) Installed Activesync 3.8, 4.0 and 4.2 all with now effect;
2) Disabled the usb power save in the registary
3) Removed the Cisco VPN client;
4) Allowed all the recommended programs and ports on the windows firewall.

None of these solutions see to offer a solution. Any thughts are welcome
before I bin the K-Jam device and most probably give in an get a Blackberry
(no don't do it!!).

Cheers

Adam

Hi,
I suggest you contact your network administrator to understand how they
handle an additional network interface (for the K-Jam to sync). Some
network administrators setup their networks to not allow a simultaneous lan
connection. A possible cause is the ISA Client installed on the PC.
