Useing Update for first time - Error No. 0x0800A01A6

Useing update on Win XP for first time, recieved Message do you wish to
download & install a program( I do not remember the name).I clicked yes, then
my Spybot Prog' asked me if I wished to allow a change to registry, &
stupidly I said no. The prog installed but, a search for updates is made but
I can't download them, getting the Error no.0x800A01A6 or 0x80040155. I think
I need to download & install that Prog' again, if thats true, how do I do
that. Any suggestions/help welcomed.
