Hi

Is there anyway to have UAC switched off while still having IE protected
mode on??

Thanks.

Google TweakUAC

It will stop most of the prompts and still leave you with IE in
protected mode.

Hi Spikey,

No there is not way to have UAC switched off and have protected mode
turned on because UAC is protected mode, Just have UAC set to "Automatic
elevation" if you dont like the prompts and want Protected mode on.

Thanks for the reply. Can you point me in the right direction to set it to
automatic elevation.

Hi Spikey,

Usually you can change its settings via ControlPanel> Administrative
Tools> Local Security Policy> Local Policys> Security Options...

However you can use this free utility to change the settings more
easily, just set UAC to "Quiet Mode"...'Disable annoying Vista UAC
popups with TweakUAC (FREE)' (http://www.tweak-uac.com/home/)
