user account control taking long time on large files

When I am trying to install something from a single large executable (usually
over 1gb) when i click the file the explorer window that the file is in seems
to hang for about 5 minutes then I have to end it in the task manager and the
file never opens. However with UAC turned off the files just open right
away. UAC seems to work fine on small files though.
