User account regularly locked

Hello all
one of our developers has his account regularly locked and we cannot find
the reason. It's not even sure that it comes from his PC, it might be from
somewhere else. Some months ago, I heard of a software that would run on a
client machine and log every connection attempt, but I can't remember where
to find it. Any hint would be greatly appreciated.
