Dear all,

I have a problem with the user.exe in the Windows\system directory everytime
I want to install or delete any programs (eg. 245729US8 caused a divide error
in module USER.EXE at 0004:000063f7.) .
Therefore, I tried to resolve it with SFC (System File Checker) but it does
not appear to pick up any problems in the program files.

Is there any method where I can extract the user.exe file off the original
Windows 98SE disk to replace it?

Regards

Did you use SFC for checking corrupted files or for extracting this file
only?
