User icon doubled up on screen

Problem Description: At the initial start up page when logging on windows
vista, i get all the users icon double up. meaning i have 3 users icons for
family members ut on the screen.. i now see 6 icons with each name doubled
etc.
any idea. it occured after sp1 was installed.
How do i removed these.
I am using new LG Laptop, Original Vista loaded on it. I just recently over
the week end had the update installed on it. I have re-booted several times
but no change.

I would use 'System Restore' to remove SP1 and try the update again.
