The user profile service service failed login

On my sister's laptop she has 2 user accounts; her administrator account
which was the first one set up and another account for me and my other
sister to use.

This worked fine for a while, but recently, we've been unable to login
to the second account and get the error message 'The User Profile
Service service failed login' and we're forced to log out.

I have tried various 'solutions' to this problem and still nothing has
fixed it. We've been searching for a resolution so long we can't even
remember what could have caused the error.

I have tried using Regedit to change the back up files and return all
values to 0. We have deleted the account numerous times with that making
no difference.

Can anyone help? I'm on the brink of smashing the laptop.

Since it's a recent issue, a 'System Restore' from your administrator
account back to a point prior to the issue may fix things.
