Everytime I have a power failure or have to reboot for any reason my computer
resets all settings saying that there is a problem with the current user
files. I have tried making a new user file but nothing helps. When this
happens I lose some programs that I have on the desktop and also the screen
background is changed. VERY ANNOYING. Please help someone!!!

Hello Bob,

Does this shed any light on the issue?
A temporary profile is loaded after you log on to a Windows Vista-based
