Username and password at Startup

Hi, all,

My husband (a beginner computer user) just started up his new Vista
desktop for the first time while I was in the kitchen. When I got
back, he had put in a username and a password--and he looked so
pleased with himself! Now he wishes he hadn't. No one uses our
computers but us and it is a nuisance to type in unnecessary IDs and
passwords.

Can someone please tell me how to erase this or to bypass the
authorization?

Start Menu, Control Panel, Users Icon...double click it. From there select
to change the password, but leave the new entry blank.
