users offline cannot access network resources

I am in desperate need of help.

I moved my users shared folder(sbs 2003) from my C to D drive because my C
was running out if space. I followed MS white paper on doing so and all
seemed fine last night- permissions, sharing, etc. Today my users are not
able to print or access shared files on the server. Upon logging in they get
the message that they are working offline and the server name is not
accesible. I have searched the net and checked and recheck my security
setttings all seem to be fine. They are also not able to print to my network
printers.

My documents redirection is pointed to the correct folder, the new one.
Sharing is correct according to what I have read online. I rebooted the
server and clients, just in case. Nothing is working.

I am restoring the users files from a backup to the original location as a
last resort.

Does anyone have any suggestions as to what I am doing wrong.

Your help is greatly appreciated.

I'm not sure how your profiles would enter into this...

I suggest you reset the offline cache.

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/230738

Then check your event logs on the clients if you still have problems.

That said, I am not a fan of offline files - am assuming these aren't
laptops that would even need them. So, you could simply disable offline
files and I suspect this problem would go away.

We are not using offline files. I do have them disabled. These are all
desktops.

Clients are getting these error in the app log:

1.Failed to perform redirection of folder My Documents. The new directories
for the redirected folder could not be created. The folder is configured to
be redirected to <\\Movdc01\Users Shared Folders\%USERNAME%\My Documents>,
the final expanded path was <\\Movdc01\Users Shared Folders\srehkop\My
Documents>. The following error occurred:
The system cannot find the file specified.

2.The Group Policy client-side extension Folder Redirection failed to
execute. Please look for any errors reported earlier by that extension.

Hmmm. If you have offline files disabled (either in the share properties, or
via GPO for these computers) then your users can't be getting messages
indicating they're working offline.

Does the target folder exist?

That sounds like quotas are enabled on the drive you moved the folders to.
Check the quota settings.
