Greetings,

Short answer: You don't.

Long answer: Although the links said in conversations open in your default browser, Messenger
will only use IE to open Spaces and Hotmail because of the transfer of credentials to
automatically log you in to said services. In the past, there was a hack using StuffPlug to
get around this design, but Stuffplug is not compatible with Windows Live Messenger and as
such, you cannot change how this works.

Good point,

My observation is this:

Since live.com is written using XHTML compliant code (XML) then it is
less likely that there will be issues with regard to using other web
browsers on that site, specifically MSN and the new login.live website.

Think about the Video Carousel at the bottom of Windows Live Messenger,
it opens up the default web browser on the system, when really it should
be opening up the "default" media player on windows, notwithstanding the
fact that there currently isn't one however ask the European Commission
about that.

Regards.
