"Simon Li",
I will try, though the question does not seem immediately clear.
The automatic update client on Windows XP will simply pass the security
configuration to either the Windows Update website, or to a Software Update
Services Server on your Local Area Network, depending on your configuration.
If:
1. Your client PC is running Windows XP Service Pack 1 or
2. Your client PC is running Windows XP Service Pack 2 or later,
Either of these machines WILL work with SUS. Keep in mind, though, that SUS
will only pass critical updates to your client PCs. The optional updates
are still through the Windows Update website.
Sincerely,
Pat Walters [MSFT]
