Using IE in Home Vista

I can use Mozilla but I can't get IE to even open now.

Also, when I attempt to change the volume, Windows Explorer has an error.

Any ideas about fixing these issues? Especially the first?

Can you think of anything that happened just before this problem
started, and have you got the latest updates?

Of course if IE won't work then you may not be able to get updates right
now, but was it up to date I suppose I should have said.

you mean when you clicke IE , the internet explorer doesn't open, that
happen to me sometimes too.

go internet option and reset it , this will resolve your problem or try the
new beta of IE8 , use any other explorer like mozilla, opera.
